Salvaging Service

At PCC, we buy damaged or sub-par rolls with an end goal of salvaging the roll. We assess the need of the damaged roll and will then decide the best course of action.

With our rewinding capabilities and roll saw, we are able to salvage roll stock for mills, merchants, box plants and printers. Fixing the core, retrimming the roll to the next usable size and cutting off wet ends are a few ways we salvage rolls.

For mills, merchants, printers or brokers, we are capable of salvaging:
  • Dormant/ Obsolete inventory
  • Damaged inventory (edge or core damage)
  • Missized roll or sheets
With our large capacity, we are capable of a 24-48 hour turnaround. Our customers are able to utilize existing inventory and turn it into something sellable.

PCC purchases surplus or damaged paper and paper board grades. If our customers choose not to salvage their inventory we are an outlet for them. The grades we purchase are:

  • Newsprint
  • Linerboard
  • Medium
  • Offset
  • SBS- Board
